Plain-English versions of the agreements that govern DriveHub Malaysia.

Seller Policy

Standards every seller must meet before, during, and after a listing.

1. Listing accuracy

  • Title, year, mileage, transmission, fuel type, and condition must match the actual vehicle.
  • Photos must be of the actual vehicle being sold or rented — no stock images.
  • Disclose accident history, flood damage, and outstanding finance.

2. Required documents

At least one of the following must be uploaded for approval:

  • JPJ vehicle grant (kad biru / vehicle ownership card)
  • Vehicle registration card
  • Authorised dealership license (for dealers)
  • Rental business license (for rental listings)

3. Prohibited items

  • Stolen vehicles or vehicles without clear title.
  • Vehicles with tampered chassis, engine numbers, or odometer.
  • Smuggled or non-roadworthy units misrepresented as legal.
  • Restricted goods under the Customs Act 1967 or Road Transport Act 1987.

4. Pricing and fees

  • List in MYR. Show the price as agreed before SST or any add-ons.
  • No hidden fees added at handover.
  • Rental rates must clearly state daily / weekly / monthly basis and deposit terms.

5. Communication

  • Reply to genuine inquiries within 48 hours.
  • Do not redirect buyers to off-platform sites that bypass our trust system.
  • Never request personal banking credentials or one-time passwords from buyers.

6. Handover and warranty

  • Provide JPJ ownership transfer (e-Daftar) within 7 days of payment for sales.
  • Rental providers must supply a written rental agreement and proof of insurance.
  • Latent defects discovered within 7 days entitle the buyer to seek mediation.

7. Roadside Assist providers

  • Display accurate coverage radius and operating hours.
  • 24/7 providers must answer calls within 5 minutes during published hours.
  • Charge the price published on the listing — surcharges only with prior buyer consent.

8. Enforcement

Breaches result in listing removal, account suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity. Repeat or fraudulent breaches may be reported to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and JPJ.
