Plain-English versions of the agreements that govern DriveHub Malaysia.

Fraud Prevention Policy

What we do, what you should do, and how to report suspicious activity.

What DriveHub does

  • Every listing is reviewed by an admin before going public.
  • Sellers must upload supporting documents that are checked against publicly available registries where possible.
  • Verified Seller and Admin Approved badges are visible on every listing.
  • We monitor for duplicate listings, suspicious price drops, and stolen-vehicle reports.
  • We cooperate with Malaysian authorities (PDRM, JPJ, BNM) on lawful requests.

How buyers can stay safe

  • Inspect in person. Never pay in full before seeing the vehicle.
  • Verify documents. Cross-check the JPJ grant, chassis number, and engine number with what's on the vehicle.
  • Pay traceably. Use bank transfer with the seller's full registered name. Avoid cash for high-value purchases.
  • Use DriveHub messaging. Don't move conversations to email or off-platform chats too early.
  • Be wary of pressure tactics. "Pay today or lose the deal" is a classic scam pattern.

Common scam patterns

  • Listing photos copied from another site (reverse-image search them).
  • Seller refuses video calls or in-person inspection.
  • Price is far below market with urgent "must sell" reasons.
  • Request for personal banking OTPs or "verification fees" before viewing.
  • Roadside operator demanding cash on arrival above the published rate.

How to report

  • Tap Report on any suspect listing — we investigate within 24 hours.
  • Email support@drivehub.my with screenshots and listing URLs.
  • WhatsApp our support line for urgent cases.
  • If you've been defrauded, report to PDRM Commercial Crime Investigation Department immediately.

Our response

Confirmed fraudulent listings are removed within hours. Sellers found to have committed fraud are permanently banned and reported to authorities. We may share evidence with affected buyers to support criminal proceedings, in line with PDPA exemptions for crime prevention.
